This was my senior BFA solo exhibition at Azusa Pacific University.
It consisted of a 24’ x 12’ x 10’ instillation made out of various tree bark. Along with the instillation, there were several paintings painted on ply wood with acrylic paint, and finished with a high gloss top coat.
A series of life sized fox sculptures made entirely out of packing tape. I photographed them in one of my favorite spots in a park in my home town.
Smoke has always intrigued me. It is peaceful, soft, calming, but at the same time can mean destruction has occurred or just ended.
Here is a series of smoke photographs.
Bubble glass chandelier, ply wood, Edison bulb, brown fabric wrapped electrical chord.
This was a group project created to exercise our team dynamics and develop individual graphic design skills. The Rams had just announced they were coming back to LA so we went to work creating new brand identities, logos, refining team colors, merch, web, etc. It was a very extensive semester long project that tested and trained my graphics skills in many ways. Here is a sampling of the final project along with some of our process sketches and mockups leading up to our final presentation.
Here is the video we put together to show during our presentation that shows our final logo and represents our new brand attributes.
Raw canvas, wood pallets, acrylic paint. 24” x 48” each.
This was a group show in the Progress Art Gallery in Pomona, CA that I curated with a few other artists and designers.
Along with curating and promoting the show, I had a few of my art pieces in it as well.
This is a film photography series based around the idea that not every one is what they seem. It should serve as a reminder to not judge things at first glance, that there is more beyond the surface, and that we need to work on breaking down walls and not be fake.
24”x30”, Oil paint on canvas.
When presented with an opportunity to exercise my photo realistic techniques, instead of painting a simple still life of an orange, I chose a more challenging image. In art making, I always strive to push myself to grow my skills, while making things I am passionate about because I am “Not Here to Paint and Orange”.
This is a refresh project of the pop punk band Good Charlotte. I am very interested in album art, so I decided to do a refresh of their logo, mark, and three of their album covers.
This was a project for my art sculptural objects and functional art class. It is a functional lyre I made out of ply wood, tree bark, resin, and a guitar bridge and strings.
This is a style of art I have such a respect for and wanted to study more. I decided to paint it on canvases and wood instead of the traditional method of watercolor on paper. This is a collection of all the various paintings in this style that I have finished thus far.
